StartUpSouth Sets To Host Its 10th Edition In Port Harcourt, Owerri

 

The organisers of StartupSouth has revealed it plans for the 10th edition tagged #StartUpSouthX later this year.

Speaking with journalists and media practitioners during a press briefing in Port Harcourt, the convener, Uche Aniche said the conference in South-East and South-South will hold in two cities, Port Harcourt and Owerri.

Mr Aniche emphasized that the 10th edition of the conference will be massive, with tech investors from different parts of the globe are expected to attend the event which have over 60 breakout sessions.

He also noted that StartupSouth remains a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to network, learn, and attract the right investments to grow their businesses. 

He added that cities like Port Harcourt, Aba, Warri, and Owerri have the potential to become thriving tech hubs, stressing that everything should not be concentrated in Lagos.

In addition to the international investors, other big names in Nigeria’s tech space are also expected to speak at the event. 

Some of the confirmed speakers include Chris Burry, an American businessman and Co-CEO of US Mac; Chinyere Nwoga, President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (PHCCIMA).

Aniedi Udo-Obong, Developer, Ecosystem Programme Partnerships, Google and others 

In Owerri, the event will hold on September 30th at Protea Hotel, while in Port Harcoooourt, it will take place on October 2nd–3rd at 1 Stadium Road, by Novotel Hotel. #StartupSouthX
